Daily journal November 17, 2001, Final Santa Claus report, Franklin Graham speaks out. I am very proud that Franklin Graham spoke his mind and heart telling all the world of the evil of Islam. The popular thing to say is that it's a good religion when in fact it is an evil religion that deny the divinity of Christ as Lord and elevates the prophet Mohammed to an artificially high. The manifestation of evil in these acts of war against Israel and the United States is proof enough. The culmination of bloody war is fulfilling of the Koran. We have it now, evil in our land with Santa Claus playing God as I have described in the last three journals. I will conclude today this description of Santa Claus being substitute for God to lure children until an age of about seven years when they realize that there is no Santa Claus therefore they may believe that there is no God also. Santa Claus does mimic God in every way to the children during those impression years. I used to think of it as a joke but I see it much different now. "If your child ask for Bread will you give him a stone?" in 1897 Francis Church editor of The New York Sun wrote an editorial in response to a letter from a 9 year-old, Virginia O’ Hanion. She had written the newspaper asking whether there really was a Santa Claus or not. It has become known as the ‘yes’ Virginia, there is a Santa Claus letter. A movie later was made about this girl’s question. In the 1920's the image of Santa had been standardized to portray a breaded, overweight, jolly man dressed in a red suit with white trim. In 1931 Haddon Summer illustrator for the Coca-Cola Co. drew a series of Santa images in their Christmas advertisements until 1964. The company holds the trademark of the Coca-Cola Santa design. Christmas ads including Santa continue to the present day. In 1939 Copywriter Robert May of the Montgomery Ward Co. created a poem about Rudolph, the ninth reindeer. May have been "often taunted as a child for being shy, small and slight" he created an ostracized reindeer with a shiny red nose who became a hero one foggy Christmas Eve. In 1949 Johnny Marks wrote the song Rudolph the Red nosed reindeer. Rudolph was relocated to the North Pole where he was initially rejected by the other reindeers who wouldn’t let him play in their reindeer games because of his strange looking nose. The song was recorded by Gene Autry and became his all-time best seller. Next to white Christmas is the most popular song of all time. 1993: An urban Folk Tale began to circulate about a Japanese department store displaying a life-size Santa Claus being crucified on a cross, it never happened. 1997:Artist Robert Cenedella drew a painting of a crucified Santa Claus. It was displayed in the window of the New York Art Students League and received intense criticism from some religious groups. His drawing was a protest. He attempted to show how Santa Claus had replaced Jesus Christ as the most important personality at Christmas time. "There are-aspects of Santa’s behavior that can damage a child’s self-esteem;" It is said that Santa Claus does not visit in the homes of Muslims, Jews or the Johovah’s witnesses. It is also said that most children stop believing in Santa at the age from 8 to 10 years "belief in Santa Claus is dangerous; the Rev. John Eich suggest that teaching a child about Santa can backfire. When a parent says yes, there really is a Santa Claus and his reindeers can fly, he is no longer playing the game. The parent is lending his personal authority as a parent to the myth, and giving it the ring of truth". When the child later finds out that there is no Santa Claus, then he or she might also doubt the parental teachings, in particular the child may belief that another man is also a fake that is Christ. Because of the similarities it is also suggested that the child's mind can understand Santa much easier then the same mind can understand God. Refrain from teaching of any substitute gods like Santa Claus, including Mother Mary. Have no other gods before us.
